Evacuation apron cart

The evacuation apron cart is designed to transport emergency aircraft due to damage of the first landing gear or pneumatics. The importance and responsibility of this procedure made us reconsider our entire experience in trailer construction. Simplicity and reliability of operation are supported by the "U-shaped" frame design and the descending ramp of the loading platform. The 30% safety margin and reliability of the airless wheels ensure the safe transport of the emergency aircraft under any conditions. With the brand of high melting point steel, you can store the cart in an open way in any climate on earth.

When creating evacuation apron cart EPT.PELM.30, RUSSTT's design department took into account existing experience and the wishes of consumers. The frame of the evacuation apron cart is a welded load-bearing steel plate frame with internal reinforcements made of hot-rolled Hardox 450 welded beams. The construction is welded by BOSCH semiautomatic machines strictly in an argon environment. The quality of welds is achieved by using ABICOR BINZEL sprays.

The evacuation apron cart shall ensure the safe loading of the emergency aircraft with the damaged front landing gear strut or damaged tire. Dumplings are equipped with a drooping ramp, which is part of the hanger. A pair of rods provide lifting through independent hydraulic drive. This solution is a fundamental design difference that allows to avoid the use of a" breaking " frame and increase the reliability of the structure.

Evacuation apron cart is operated as a trailed conveyor. Towing reliability and safety are important criteria. To ensure the strength of the coupling device, we use SD500 square seamless hot rolled pipe. The driver is telescopic, provides versatility and convenience of coupling with any type of airtow. Also, the coupling device has a motion and height adjustment.

The evacuation apron cart is equipped with four towing wheels. Each wheel provides a load distribution of up to 12,000 kg. The front and rear wheels are double-tyre: front-wheel drive due to the combination of mechanical traction and driving force, the steering force of Swedish technology KURILL is transferred to traction direction. The wheels are made of abrasion resistant high-temperature rubber by injection molding instead of fragile and unreliable polyamide.

The evacuation apron cart is designed to transport emergency aircraft due to damage of the first landing gear or pneumatics. Considering the load and responsibility of evacuation procedures, transportation must be convenient and safe. Thanksto the combination of mechanical traction and driving force, the maneuverability and cornering performance are improved. "Bow" traction of Swedish KURILL technology transfers steering force from clutch to steering gear. There's no braking system. The wheels are locked by mechanical coupling or hydraulic independent pump.

Algorithm of loading an emergency aircraft with a damaged front strut or landing gear pneumatics on the evacuation apron cart EAC.PELM:

    • Install an evacuation cart in front of the rack of an emergency aircraft;
    • Lower the hydraulic ramp in front of the emergency AC pneumatics
    • Secure the chassis rack with a sling by connecting it to the cart's mechanical winch chain;
    • Load the emergency rack by means of the mechanical turnbuckle on the cart;
    • Secure emergency aircraft to chassis rack with the apron cart by means of a set of turnbuckles, slings, chains;
    • Raise the load platform ramp;
    • Begin transporting an emergency aircraft, speed limit 5-10 km/h.

The evacuation apron cart is equipped with a winch for loading an emergency aircraft with a damaged first strut or pneumatics. After loading, the chassis must be fixed with sling or chain of mechanical fixture (tension adjuster) with EAC.PELM frame. There are steel hinges on the perimeter of the structure to ensure the reliable fixation with the sling device.

The non-woven non-combustible synthetic slings shall fix the cross on the cross to form tension with the front of the trolley. The additional chain pull rod with slider is used to fix the emergency aircraft frame additionally with:

    • Evacuation cart frame;
    • Cart coupling device.

The loading ramp can also be fixed with a chain with a frame. For this purpose, the installation of additional rigging rings must be agreed upon when ordering. The cost of evacuation apron cart will remain unchanged. RUSSTT is a manufacturer, so we can make some small design changes to make it easier for customers to use, and it's not a cost option, as retailers do.
