Evacuation Pavement
The runway is usually made of concrete or asphalt. A solid WPP coating can withstand load of evacuation special equipment and lifting mechanisms. If the plane was outside the "concrete" and on the ground, the main task is to prepare a temporary platform for the organization of work, and then a service road for evacuation. To solve this task, RUSSTT offers the evacuation pavement. The main advantages are efficient and simple assembly, and capacity to withstand high loads. Field work has shown that this pavement can be used even in swamps, which is a unique example without analogues.
The evacuation pavement is produced by high molecular weight polyethylene pressing. According to the bearing capacity, bending stiffness and positive buoyancy, the coating type is distinguished by the size, thickness and operational take-off weight. The higher the bearing capacity and buoyancy coefficient, the heavier the coating section. The block construction of EP-GALO and EP-GALO-PLUS ensures stability and does not require additional ground surface preparation.
The lock sleeve consists of two clips, a shaft and a holder. The locking clip is installed on perimeter, connected and fixed by the shaft (6 sets of locks on the pavement slab of 6x2 m). There no welded joints in the latch assembly, which makes it more reliable. There are at least three rings in the clamp-fixing lock. The lock is made of galvanized steel or steel with protective paint-and-lacquer coating. A bolt or an L-shaped pin is used to secure the axle.
The perforated pavement ensures a smooth run on the evacuation pavement EP-GALO and EP-GALO-PLUS. This non-slip design allows both wheeled and tracked machines to work safely. This is very important during evacuation work.
