Airfield baggage trailer
Baggage trailers are designed to transport baggage between the terminal and the aircraft during loading and unloading. Every year airlines and airports revise the requirements for the standards of transportation and service of passengers and baggage. The main task of the measures taken is to improve the quality of services provided to customers. An ordinary passenger sees luggage during its check-in and receipt, occasionally from the porthole window during its reloading on board the aircraft. The ROSSTT company has developed several modifications of trolleys for transporting baggage. When developing luggage trailers, we took into account the experience of European manufacturers in terms of quality and practicality, and thanks to technical cooperation with Pulkovo Airport, design changes were made to increase the service life of the trolleys and facilitate their operation.
Despite the apparent simplicity of the product, it took us 2160 hours to test and engineer the luggage trailers. To increase corrosion resistance in production, in agreement with the customer, we use three types of raw materials:
- galvanized metal;
- stainless steel;
- HARDOX steel with RAPTOR coating.
The chassis of the trailers are manufactured with the support of the world leader in the industry, Blickle. Due to the fact that the daily luggage trailer mileage at a major airport is 87.9 km. special attention was paid to the chassis, braking system, coupling device. The advanced braking and steering systems have one fixed and one steering axle as standard, and a rigid brake system. Optionally, the trailer can be equipped with fully pivoting axles and a cable brake system. For regions with low operating temperatures, we install our own airless bandage wheels. When developing and manufacturing luggage trailers, ROSSTT is guided by the slightly paraphrased principle "Treat your customers the way you want, so that they would treat you."
